In keeping w/ rutxer's theme of film developing screw ups today, here's my contribution. I was out shooting my recently acquired Agfa Isola II (see link below)
Dead Link Removed
and scurried home in a hurry to develop the film, which was Shanghai 100 GP3. However, in my haste I had forgotten that, and had metered the shots as if it were 400 speed Tri-X. I usually rate the Tri-X at 200 to 250 anyway, so that wasn't too bad. But it got developed it as if it were Tri-X, which means it got 10:20 minutes in some sorta old and weak TD-16 instead of the 16:30 minutes it should have got in fresh developer.
The shots scan real nice, but I am not that confident of getting good prints. You never know though! I'm especially happy w/ the train shot, as taking that w/ a scale focus camera that has a loooong and slow shutter release button w/ very little feel to it, well, I just got plain lucky. It's full frame w/ no crop too, which all the shots are here. The viewfinder seems very accurate. This is some neat film, especially for the bargain price.
The shots are a little too good, as the idea was to have that toy camera look. While I love 3 element lenses, it's back to the hunt for an original Isola, which hopefully has a single element meniscus lens.
