I'm interested in knowing what lenses in your camera brand have you liked wide open to 1 stop down? I'm looking for good bokeh and resolution, and looking to occasionally gather such lenses for my cameras.

Mamiya Sekor E 50mm f1.7.
It's the fastest lense I have in my collection. I use it on a Mamiya ZM Quartz, the last miniature format camera Mamiya ever made in production.

I mostly use it wide open.

Nikon 70-200VR at f/2.8 is very nice, here`s an example.

I don't have this lens any more, but the non-Ai 35mm F2 Nikkor (I don't remember what series it was) was so good between F2 and F4 or so. In dark indoor shots, I used to set the apeature around F2.8 and push TriX to 800 ASA, and the results were always nice and workable.

Also, Contax T3's 35mm lens at F2.8 is really good, too. The light fall-off so little, and everything in the center is pretty sharp.

Nikon 105mm f2.5 AIS, 180mm f2.8 (any version), 50mm f2.0 AI long barrel version.

Actually, I tend to use most of my 35mm lenses near wide open, because I often use them in very low light situations. The majority of Leica rangefinder lenses I have used also worked quite well wide open.

Ciao!

Pentex Screw Mounts:
24 3.5 28 2.8 50 1.4 50 1.8 105 2.8 135 3.5 150 3.5 200 and 300 4.0 400 at one stop down at 8

Miranda 50 1.4 and 105 2.8

When I had Nikon ASI and Non ASI I thought all of my primes were good wide open, the zooms not so good.

These are the lenses I know perform well at large apertures, I don't know how my wide angle lenses perform at wide aperture to be honest I never use them this way, maybe this is the time to try.
