Hi!

Who are some of your favorite travel photographers?

I know the genre is quite broad, but I'd love to hear some of your inspirations. I've always love Michael Kenna's work, although he's probably more considered a landscape photographer. I tend to think of Cartier-Bresson as having elements of what I define as travel, but not entirely I suppose. It's more photojournalism. Jeff Johnson, a staff photographer for Patagonia clothing line, who happens to shoot quite a bit of film still (Leica M7), is a mix of travel and adventure photography.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Mark

I've never heard of Kenro Izu until I went to the children's hospital in Siem Riep Cambodia. There hung his platinum prints that blew me away.

I've been spending some time with Berthold Steinhilber's work the last week. It's intriguing. I'm not sure I really like his work, but something is compelling me to return to his page. I think his images are just too saturated and sharp for my liking. He certainly seems to have a theme though and his ideas are concrete.
