I am sorry I was only surfing to remind myself of this Australian photographers name when I stumbled on this thread. Unless I am mistaken & have missed it over the previous pages but how could any of you forget the great Helmut Newton. He was an Australian citizen!

His wife is far, far more Australian!!

He was also in the Australian military - I think Army. He learnt his craft of photography in Melbourne. He ran a very successful fashion photography business and became a renowned photographer in his own right in Australia, before going overseas.
