Does anyone know how to change the flash sync shutter speed on an F100 while using it in Aperture Priority Mode? It defaults to 1/60 when I place an SB800 on it in TTL/BL or TTL mode. The instruction manual for the F100 states that two speeds can be used, 1/60 and 1/250 while in A mode, but I can't figure out how to change it from the default 1/60 to 1/250. There was no mention in the SB800 instruction manual for changing shutter speeds while in Aperture Priority mode. I read the F100 instruction manual cover to cover and there was no mention on how to do this either, nothing in the custom settings section, nothing in the mode selection section.

It will only go over 1/60 when the ambient light calls for a faster shutter speed IIRC..... If you want a faster shutter speed, use it in manual or shutter priority...

I was under the impression that the 1/250 speed could be set as default in some way. That way no matter what auto mode is chosen the speed would be 1/250 instead of 1/60. Even the old FM2n had a fast shutter sync at 1/250!

Well, set the camera in manual or shutterpriority, and you have your default 1/250... I really don`t see the problem with this? Try setting the Fm2n to aperture priority and see what you get.

The only way to change shutter speeds in aperture priority mode is to change the aperture, causing the shutter speed to change accordingly. If you want to change shutter speeds manually, you need to use either manual or Shutter priority mode. In Aperture mode, the camera gives flash synch from 1/60 to 1/250, according to the aperture set, unless you change the flash synch mode to Slow Synch, in which case the camera will set any shutter speed slower than 1/60. I have used speeds as slow as 1/5 (still on aperture priority auto) to get blur effects along with the flash. You cannot, of course, use a synch speed faster than 1/250 with the F100.
