The rubber seal on the battery compartment of my F100 has become stretched, so it basically hangs there doing no good at all, but attached in one place under the compartment lock.
Does anyone know if I might buy this seal somewhere, or will I need to look for a new battery holder? Would it need a special glue to hold it place if I could find a new seal, or would something like model airplane glue work? I could cut the excess out and glue it I suppose, but would rather do it properly.
I don't know how the seal got stretched, I must have snagged it on something.

Can you cut the excess out to get the fit and for rubber I have used the glue for auto weather stripping.
