Ammonium thiosulfate soln. (58%) 185 ml
Sodium sulfite, anh. 10 g
Sodium hydrogen sulfite 8.4 g
Water to make 1 l

PH = 6.5 at 27C; density = 1.086

I believe a fixer should be slightly acid for decent longevity in use, but not so acid as to do harm to the image or be hard to wash out. Kodak F-34 answers these requirements. The fixer was originally used in the motion picture industry to fix 5247 color negative film (2 minutes at 100F in a machine processor, with...

F-34 is similar (but not identical) to Ryuji's Neutral Rapid Fixer.

ammonium thiosulfate 120g(or 60% solution 200 ml)
sodium sulfite 15g
sodium metabisulfite 5g
water to make 1.0 liter
target pH 7.0 plus/minus 0.5
