The Motor Drive FN Chip for your new F1 shoots 31/2 frames a second and rewinds a 36 exposure film back into the cassette in eight seconds, it takes twelve AA batteries and weighs a ton, I have one, but I only use it when I can't avoid it.

I sold my Canon Motor drive FN recently, it was just too heavy to lug about with its 12 AA batteries in addition to the weight of a New F1 AE and a lens.

I have 2 of the New F1s and both have motor drives on them. Actually can't remember them without a motor drive. Also have the FN100 Film Chamber which is fun to use. They are heavy though but beautiful cameras.

If I was much younger I would never have sold it,I just can't lug the weight around anymore.
