Hey all,
The Littleton, CO show, Eye of the Camera, which features a BW darkroom category is happening again this year. Entries are due by January 24, 2014. The show will run from February 21 - March 30, 2014 at the Littleton Museum’s Fine Arts Gallery, with the reception to be held on February 20, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

Details may be found here on the Dead Link Removed.

The description of the darkroom category is as follows:
3.Film /darkroom processed and printed photographs. Film / darkroom entries may not have any digital aspect including no scanning or digital printing.

Once again, let's get our work out there so people know that the darkroom lives on! There are two weeks left, so get cracking!

That's great, Derek. I look forward to seeing your print.

I got one in as well. This is a great show and a rare one to have a specific darkroom category. I look forward to seeing your print Derek!

Mike, huge congratulations. Some day I'll get my darkroom built and have the courage to submit to knowledgable judgement.

and you'll knock everybody's socks off too, I'm sure! Start small... just use a closet and roller tanks to start

My wife and I checked this out on Saturday afternoon. APUG was very well represented by the efforts of Toro_Mike and Derek Lofgreen. In fact, very few of the entries were disappointing, mostly those that overdid the photoshopping. There were some really outstanding prints. The B&W winner was as good as anything I've ever seen.

It was even a bit discouraging to think how good I'm not and never will be.

Qualifying your work in the context of others will always be an exercise in paralyzing frustration! Just do what you want/love and don’t worry about how it compares. Seriously, just enjoy yourself!
