I just got my old Zeiss Ikoflex Ia up and running and have really been enjoying shooting it.

At this point my only gripe is that due to the position of the shutter button, it's difficult to screw in any of my normal sized cable releases and still open the hood around the focusing screen.

Does anyone make a cable release that is extra thin? Obviously the threads have to be a certain size (I think standard is tapered M3 or thereabouts), but the knurled part directly behind the threads always seems to be thick enough to interfere with the hood on this camera.

The old LOMO cloth covered shutter releases are thin, but typically not very long.

You are welcome.

I keep mine for use on 9x12 and 3.25x4.25 plate cameras and they fold up nicely under the front camera board so they are always available.
