I thought about this as well as there are tons of them out there.

You would need a blanket for it , some of the vacumn presses for mounting I have seen would not be sufficient.
The blankets main purpose would be to allow the registration pins to drop if you are doing registration work.
These units come in pretty large sizes so you would need to figure out what type of lights to hang above to create the exposure.

I am thinking this way for 30 x 40 alt prints and would be interested in hearing any thoughts on the exposing lights that would be most appropriate.

I have a NUArk 26 k for smaller prints.

A bank (10-12) of 4 foot UV florescent tubes would work nicely.

I see on another thread Clay warns about this type of light for his method of printing, would this apply to any of the noble metals, and or carbon or gum?

Bob, the fluorescent tube issue only pops up with polymer gravure, which is due, I think, to the shiny, very polished polymer coated metal plate that is being exposed. I use a fluorescent tube lightbox all the time for pt/pd and vandyke and cyanotype with no issues.

Thanks Clay
