I found my previous lens flange on my Varex too lose so I bought another off ebay. After fitting it, I found the new flange to be extremely tight (when turning to lock the lens in).

In the long run, will this be damaging to my lenses? So should I get it changed, or just deal with it. Afterall return shipping ain't cheap for me.

Thanks guys.

I doubt it will damage your lens. It should loosen up a bit over time ....

The old flange could probably be tightened by *carefully* using a thin screwdriver to increase the space in the flanges of the mount (if you look carefully, you'll probably get what I mean).

You should also check if the new flange has changed your lens registration by shooting some test shots at full-aperture (close-ups also help find any registration errors).
