I have a Scitex/Creo Eversmart pro scanner that I have just set it up. Everything seems hunky dory except I noticed I could not scan anything over 2540 dpi. That was the highest selection available within the software (Scitex 2.5.1). It was my understanding the "pro" model scanned up to 3150 dpi but it doesn't seem to be an available option. I am using the scanner mainly for 4x5 negs printing no larger than 16x20 so having the 3150 dpi available is not too critical....still, I would like to know if there is a misunderstanding on my part or is there something within the program or hardware that is preventing the higher DPI. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
