Hello all. I don't think so Jon. There were only 2 bids. Some guy was in at the opening $75 all week probably for the shutter. I was surprised to get it for $76. I can check the computer once a day or so at my daughters but next week I'll be totally away. Next week the Petzvals and wooly versars can return to normal prices for a week. Certainly the Cooke is in a whole different class than any of the wooly booly's ever will be and prices usually reflect that.

A new page at my web site where you can have a look at what these 3 antique portrait lenses and a Kodak 2D can do.

About a 5 minute read. Let me hear what you think please.

Love the Ford, bet it has a great heater, right?
What paper did you print you 8x's on?
They are really nice!

You are right Jim. I was thinking of the "coated" 356mm soft lens in the alphax shutter. Fortunately, it completed your set....now I just everyone else to compete....lol..take care, Jon

Hi there,

Jim, if your 14" Heliar has a spacer ring at the rear cell, you're in luck. Just take it out and see if you like the image qualities. Just be careful of the dreaded 'cold welding' ;-)))

Smile.

Every One's a Keeper

Jim, really enjoyed all of them--bokeh or not, very, very nice work.

Thanks for the nice comments. I printed the pics on 3 different papers. And I've forgotten what the 3rd one was already but the one of Rachelle and Glen with the pup were done on Forte Fortezo Elegance MGFB. The 2 done with the Versar lens were done on a house brand that Freestyle used to sell called Europes Finest Warm Tone. It was a single weight MGFB and was also made by Forte I believe. It seems the Forte is perfect for this type of work. Warm blacks that can still tip a densitometer at 2.16 or so. I hope they're here to stay.
