Etone 6x loupe?

I am on the look out for a used Horseman loupe. I am not an expert by any means, but the eTone looks like viable alternative if a Horseman does not pop up or if it is too expensive.

I started out looking for a Horseman. They are out there but very expensive and seem to only be in Japan. The eTone shipped from Kentucky and was quite affordable. A very good buy I believe.

Can someone confirm if the 6X eTone adjusts the focus plane as well as dioptor?

Hrm. There's only one adjustment on the loupe-- their website says it's diopter adjustment, rather than focus plane. But I've been assuming it's focal plane, and in testing, could focus on either side of the ground glass.

Hmmm. I’ve been thinking about your question and think if I were you and that $135 isn’t needed for essentials of life… I’d give it a try. Synchro-Compurs aren’t the easiest to DIY overhaul unless one is experienced with them but not impossible.
