Ersatz film cleaner

My local photo emporium is out of film cleaner. Can anyone suggest an alternative whilst I am waiting for the backorder to come in? Please pardon if this question has been asked and answered before.

IIRC, PEC12 is composed of methanol and butyl acetate, but the proportions are unknown. They probably have an MSDS somewhere if you wish to verify it. Methanol alone is probably ok.

Thanks, Oleh. So, according to this list, isopropanol and naptha can be used. Does that mean Isopropol alcohol? And naptha== lighter fluid, correct?

Yes to both, just make sure it is 99% isopropyl alcohol.
