I have been trying for weeks to get a handle on QTR for DigiNegs. Having found some difficulty with it I have now downloaded the ChartThrob programme.I launched the script into CS2, and out of curiosity checked all the greyscale squares with the 'Info' pallette. I have found the readings to be very erratic. The first top line reads"0 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 10 12" If I read the last bottom line the readings are "94 95 96 97 97 98 98 98 99 99" finishing with "100" on the very bottom. None of the 10 block lines give a consecutive reading.
Should the readings be like that? I have a calibrated screen, although I don't see that should have any effect; I have tried the colour space to be sRGB, Adobe 98 and Greyscale - always the same; 16 bit 8 bit always the same.
Can you suggest what might be the problem if the readings are indeed incorrect.
When trying QTR I used 21 step greyscales and having checked them with the info pallette they all gave the correct readings.
Thanks for any suggestions
