Epson V600 standby

Good morning, everyone.
I have a problem with my Epson V600.
I installed it on a new PC (Win10) and have the same problem I had a few years ago. Basically, during scanning, or even if I leave it for a while without using it, it goes into standby mode, and there is no way to start it up again. I have to turn it off and restart VueScan.
Years ago, I solved the problem by downloading an update, but I can't find it anymore. Anyone else with the same problem? I regularly use it on my laptop (win11), but I need to use it on my desktop pc too.

I had several of these in my classroom, and would run into this problem sometimes. This was a couple of years go. I believe it was Win 10, as well. Unplugging it and plugging back in, restarting the program would sort it out. I retired, and it probably was never resolved.

Some years ago I solved it, downloading a patch. Unfortunately I cannot find it anymore nor in my downloads or in the web.

See if the program is still running in CPU Processes. Shut off the app there and then restart the app. See if that helps.

The fact is I don't want it to stop working and restart the app. I need to prevent it from stopping in in the middle of a scan..

Sometimes the support files for Epson differ between North America and Europe and elsewhere. It would be worthwhile looking at the different Epson sites.

The only issue I've had with it is the scanner becoming invisible to the computer after the computer goes to sleep. So I made the computer not do that. Far as I can tell, the scanner itself does not enter any standby state. I've never had it disconnect from the pc in the middle of a scan.

I have had several problems with my HP printer when HP added WiFi and subscriber ink cartridge replacement via mail to their products. I ended up spending extensive quality time in the phone with HP. You should contact Epson directly by telephone.
