I have just downloaded the 30 day trial of CS5. I have been using CS3.
In CS3 when I want to scan negatives I go to file, import and the V500 is shown as an option.
In CS5 I go to file, import and only have an WIA option which only sees the basic scanner.

My question is how do I get CS5 to see the V500 as an import option??

It sounds like you need to install the EpsonScan plugin so that PS can see it.
