Hi- what's the difference between the 3800 and the 3800 Professional version? Is it worth the money?

The pro version comes with Colorburst RIP software. For critical color work, you might want the RIP. I bought mine without it.

Is it the full version? I see on the colorburst site, it's almost $1000 for the 3800!

I don't know. Check w/Epson. I bought my 3800 1-1/2 years ago, so things may have changed.

The Pro package comes with a dumbed down version of the Colorburst Rip. Not worth the money IMO. I purchased the non Pro version of the 3800.

I thought so- I think they've done this before with previous printers, and the dumbed down version only worked wioth Epson papers.
