Hi,

Can somebody give me a ballpark idea of how to adjust filtration when enlarging negatives that were exposed in tungsten light on daylight-balanced color print film? That is, if I know the filtration for a daylight or flash shot on a roll of film, what would be a reasonable way to adjust that for a shot in tungsten light on the same roll? I realize I can't expect an exact and precise adjustment that'll give perfect results; I just want something that'll get me into the ballpark so I can do a color ringaround to fine-tune it. Thanks.

adding cyan might be a good bet. You're going to have to subtract massive ammounts of magenta and yellow either way.

theres no way to pin point the colour values, as so many factors play into the final image.

It's indeed difficult to quote exact numbers as this depends on the contrast of the film and the type of enlarger - 30Y on a Durst is likely not the same as 30Y on a Beseler.

But one thing is sure, for enlarging negatives you will have to add a lot of yellow and magenta. Not subtract as a previous poster stated.

One guideline from my own practice: I typically add twice as much yellow as magenta. As a starter you could try adding 40Y and 20M.
