Hello everyone, I was directed here after listening to one of the Lenswork podcasts.

I've been shooting on a Hasselblad for about a year and a bit now, but I've just bought an enlarger and I suppose this is my first real delve into what many of you might call 'proper' photography  and what I would call making it a craft.

I've always taken photographs in short bursts of a few weeks or less and have struggled to balance my music education and interest (which has been waning very much) and my photography. It's been hard for me to really develop as my growth has been stunted so many times.

By starting to print my images I'm hoping I can invest more time in what is the biggest passion of my life. I'm quite excited to be able to share it here too. :D

Welcome! Darkroom time, to me, is most enjoyable. It's the finishing of the creative process. You'll learn a lot here, that, along with some books and such, will get you going. After that, it's just practice, and if you can, hob-nobbing with other people that do their own darkroom work.

Hello and welcome to APUG. Darkroom time is a wonderful escape from the drudges of life. :D

Welcome to APUG. Not only is the darkroom fun, but you are in trouble with your significant other you can fill a large cooler and hide out!!

Darkroom life is great.

Hate processing film, but I love doing the printing. Welcome to APUG.

Welcome to APUG. Sounds like another Ansel Adams in the making. I second photoncatcher. I hate processing and I love printing. Can't have one without the other. Have fun and, again, welcome.

Welcome to APUG.

Steve
