Enlarger Wanted

I see a Beseler 23CII in eBay for $200. But I cannot find details on this model anywhere. It all come 23CIII, the square head. I’m looking for a color enlarger. I wonder if this is an ok deal. Seems expensive to me. Please advise. Thanks.

The 23 C ii is a great enlarger, older but a great one.

Please note that the price might seem high when compared to the many miniature 35mm only enlargers that are on the ebay market for 50-100 dollars, but the 23c family does 110 format all the way to 6x9 120 format.

I've considered donating my spare Beseler 23C to the OP, but there's a huge issue with shipping. Seems the USPS won't ship due to size of package. Even if I broke it down to components the size of the box necessary for the chassis is still too large to ship.

Thank you. I’m debating between the Beseler and the Vivitar 6/a with Dioptic Light Source for color. Which one would you recommend?

Is Beseler diachro 67s2 (it’s a huge machine) a good one to invest for color printing? Please advise.

Completed my first two prints in my darkroom. I think they turned out better than expected considering I don't have any formal experience, or a timer, or grain focuser yet.

Prints are on 5x7 paper.
The Middle photo was on the Omega B-22. 2 seconds (Mississippi's) and lens stopped down to f/11. The other photo was on the Leitz 1c. 2 seconds with the lens stopped down to f/11 as well.

Pretty darned good for your first try!

Those results would be fine even if they were *not* your first try.
Congratulations!
