Hi everyone so I'm new to enlarger and I justbougjt a nice set up for 50 bucks with a cabinet and a Vivitar e32 enlarger. I was wondering what lens would be good for 6x6 and also the lens it has is a 50 3.5 so I'm not sure if that only for 35 mm pics

you will need a 75mm or a 80mm lens, El-nikkor, Schneider, and Rodonstock make good ones,
at the moment they can be had for next to nothing.

I don't know much at all about the Vivitar E32, but be aware that many similar enlargers require either a supplementary condenser for 2 1/4 or to reposition the condensers. If you use a 35mm condenser setup for 2 1/4 you'll see vignetting in the corners. If you use a 2 1/4 condenser setup for 35mm it will print fine but you'll have longer print times.

Hi John,
I have an 80mm f4 Rodagon, has some internal dusties but otherwise in good shape.
Aperture blades are clean and click stops are solid. The click can be disengaged so you
can easily adjust for minor exposure changes.
Disengaging the clicks is generally used with color printing where you may need very minor changes.

$10. to me & $10 to APUG covers it.

I don't think that enlarger has interchangeable lensboards. So, make sure the 80mm lens you acquire has the same threads as your current lens. I'll bet your enlarger takes "Leica" thread lenses.

John, what size thread on your lens?

Yeah I think the lens mount is a 39 mm lens
