Guillaume, are they in those 25piece envelopes? I have used their 11x14 size and it was OK. I've been thinking about getting a paper safe, though.

I think they're recycling the floor boards from Tito's castles along the Adriatic for those boxes...

Fotokemika Emaks, graded paper from the people that make the Efke films and the Varycon paper.

It's all that moisture..the floorboards get really damp and eroded from the salt water air...Not good for boxes

Guillaume, I have sometimes used old Ilford or Agfa boxes for my papers from Fotokemika. Their boxes seem to be very brittle and fall apart. I had good luck with Varycon so far, but agree the envelopes Emaks come in are not great. I'm sure you've got some old boxes lying around....

Just off thread slightly, but does anyone know if this if Foma paper?
Reards,
John.

Foma paper is made by Foma. Emaks and Varycon are made by Fotokemika, who also make EFKE films.

The Adox boxes from Fotoimpex i have are fine.

I am trying to find my way with the new product names on fotoimpex.de and adox.de

Does the new

> ADOX Fine Print® Nuance® Warmtone FB
> Fixed grade neutral-warmtone fibre based paper on 300g support.

the same as the old EMAKS

Does somebody has experience with
> ADOX Fine Print® Polywarmtone FB
> True warmtone emulsion, variable contrast fibre based paper on 280g support.

Thanks in advance

Nuance should be Emaks and Polywarmtone FB should be Forte PW, according to the information I have. I tested Emaks and Nuance but not Adox Polywarmetone.

This sounds exactly like the old "Museum" paper that J&C sold -- is it the same? That was amazing paper, but I thought it was made by Forte. Anyone know for sure? Is this ADOX paper an equivalent paper? Thanks.

Yes, it sound to me like the old loved Fortezo paper. But they state on the site that Polywarmtone, the other one in question here, is not their formula and will not be available in the future. They state nothing like this for Nuance Warmtone though. This makes me think it is in fact Emaks paper.

I think that I have an old PDF of their catalogue. I should compare the sample images. I think they are mostly the same.

Does someone has already worked with both Frotezo and Emaks? How do they compare?

The paper safes are cheap compared to paper and work well. You can find them used on eBay...EC

No, the Nuance is Emaks. Polywarmtone probably Forte museum weight.

I find Emaks/Nuance to have a nice surface. But it is a bit more difficult to get a good separation in the shadows for me. It doesn't lith as good as Forte.
