Are there any users here of the Elinchrom Varistar umbrella-style softbox?
I am contemplating buying one for location portraiture and am wondering how much difference the wide-angle reflector makes over using no reflector at all. The reflector adds quite a bit to the cost, and it looks like it would be hard to stuff into the lightstand cases I have, so if I can live without it that would be good.
Any experience from Varistar users, or users of other similar produces like the Westcott Halo?
