I have not Heard/Read too much about this brand. For general, hobby, black and white enlarging...are these a decent lens.?

They're supposedly okay. It's a brand more known for cine lenses. I've used their cine lenses which were pretty decent, but not mind blowing. I haven't used their enlarging lenses, but I'd expect them to be on par with something like Wollensak.

I can think of two reasons to chose a more modern lens: most are made with the popular 39mm mounting thread: the aperture scales on some older lenses tend to have unequal distance between detents whereas more modern lenses have equidistant physical step sizes. There is also the question of image quality, for the best quality work you want 6 element, one step down the quality ladder come 4 element units and the inexpensive varieties are often 3 element, see if you can find out which of these types the lens is.

I did notice the "different" thread mount.
Seems like there are better brand lens to buy. The only issue is 90mm. I am still a beginner, but it seems that 90mm was a much less common size than 80 or 100-105.?
One day...If i keep a constant vigil, i can probably find one that is no too "expensive".

Looking on ebay right now the 90mm Rodenstock Rogonar S is a 4 element lens and so is the 90mm Fujinon ES. While they cost more I would take either of those over the Elgeet. Enlarging lenses keep forever and good ones retain resale value.
