This brings me back to my old topic, which has nothing to do with specific media. You have to have the confidence to DIY, and I think that's the biggest handicap. That's another reason I'm posting here, to motivate people.
Electronics, in particular, is a bit daunting. But the necessary skills can be acquired, and the craftsmanship improves with practice.
