Easy peasy. C41 development is almost as easy as b&w.
Doesnt really long exposures affect color balance? If so, can it be fixed in printing? Pinhole might be the only way for me to get in to large format color in the near future

So rent an 8x10 camera. At Calumet, $25 a day for the camera, about $35 a day for a lens, $5 a day for film holders. Totally insignificant compared to how fast you can run up a film and processing bill with E-6 or Ektar 100 film!

Does anyone else have any other bright ideas?
How about an international APUG gathering - You supply the beer, we bring the camera(s).
You crazy? The beer you people will end up drinking will be far more than the airplane tickets and hotel costs! How about an international APUG gathering - You supply the beer, we bring the camera(s).

Seriously, I would love to have a whole bunch of photographers to guide around, as there is so much to photograph in this place.
But let us not steer the thread even further off topic.
Has anybody thought that this probably means Ektar will eventually be the only color film Kodak offers? That is probably their goal with making it available in all formats. It is a good way for them to maximize profits in an era of dwindling film sales.
So, that's the new product Scott DiSabato was talking about in the latest interview.
Damn! I saw someone's accounting of that interview and was hoping it was Ektar in 400. I guess I can't begrudge them for continuing to develop film in any meaningful fashion, though.
It seems like some people wish they had a large format camera.......CALUMET 4X5 Cameras are great 4x5 cameras and can be had for $150 with a case, a lens, and film holders. By the time you ship one they are $200. This is how I got into large format and this camera has made some exceptional images. Mine even had a good Schneider lens not a cheap one. If you already have a sturdy tripod, you are all set!
If 500T were made available as an optically printable still film, I would 1. shit my pants, and 2. buy a lifetime supply.
I suspect we will lose color film rather quickly when it finally happens...and that it will be much sooner that this happens than most of us might think.
