Good news and I'm glad to hear it but rumors are still rumors without supporting facts.

Medium Ektachrome isn't out up to now! But it is in plan to be released this year!

And (just if I am allowed to refer to #1 of my thread) :


it is dependable to the final circumstances....!

But with a little luck we may see Ektachrome 120 indeed within this year!!
The issue up to 4x5 inch Ektachrome is the same! But my bet is :

Not before 2020!

well - meanwhile there was an official statement (interview) if I remember correct it was a poadcast! concerning 4x5 inch!

I guess it is relative to 2 main factors (but this is just a guess [I was not told!!!]..)

1.) Fuji pricing beginning 2020 with 8x10 E6 sheeds

Because it is expensive for EK. to cut sheeds (8x10 in special case in comparison) = the demand
for 4 x 5 is allways much higher !
2.) Fuji discontinuation beginning 2020 (or end of this year)!
Possible Fuji will discontinue further films (it is not total unlikely - carefully formulated)

But my personal bet (this is just a speculation not more) is the following :

If EK is anouncing the avaibility of 4x5 Ektachrome
(sometime around 1/2 quarter 2020) they will anounce to come with 8x10
together (perhaps 8x10 2weeks later due to production priority)!

The 2. case (I will not bet but many many others do ) - around 2quarter 2020
EK will not exist anymore! Of course then we would not see further Ektachrome formats!

But no fear Multiformat Shooter - you will load your sheeds from Ektachrome next year!
No fear friends!!!!!!!

-) It were US forces who first got hold of Agfa personnel and documents, not the soviet.
Due to US occupation, both US and UK teams could investigate and confiscate.

-) These investigation were of course intended for the benefit for the victorious allied countries, NOT for the surrendering countries.

-) With succeeding soviet occupation things repeated. Finally a large group of Agfa employees had to settle in Ukraine for some years.

-) Ferrania introduced their colour film already in 1942, based on the Agfacolor principle.

Agree 100% Fuji does not make a good job since years!
Looking at Ferrania - they have so many problems such little money but they do their task
(Respect!!!) - Fuji is soo big and increasing prices horrable - a shame!!
