Has anyone used HC-110 with Efke R25 (120 rollfilm)? I've looked at both JandC and the MDC, but neither show suggested times. Would there be a reason not to use HC-110 with Efke R25 ?

Sounds like an opportunity to make a contribution to the MDC...

No reason not to try it. I'd suggest trying a high level of dilution and running some controlled tests.

In my experience Efke 25 rollfilm works very well in Pyrocat-HD.

I've also had good results with Ascorbic Acid/Phenidone and Ascorbic Acid/Metol developers, but I find that I prefer a staining and tanning developer with Efke 25 (and Efke 100). I usually develop for contact printing on Azo.

I will not be the one developing the roll, rather my dad, to who I gave one as a gateway drug... He is mostly familiar with HC-110, and not (yet?) into pyro, so I was wondering if another film could provide a decent idea of times.

APX25 maybe?

This estimate is based on Kodak Techpan developed in HC-110 Dilution B in a small tank: As a starting point, try 6 minutes at 68 degrees F.

Follow the links to Kodak's developing recommendations for HC-110 and their link for Techpan processing recommendations.

you'll be very close with APX25 reccomendations.

Try the most diluted HC-110 and very gentle agitation to harness the contrast.
