Efke KB100 35mm 30.5 meter bulk rolls - no central core

I've started to use Efke KB100 in bulk roll .I'm surprised to see that the rolls have no central core . it's not very fine , they move in the loader and i'm affraid to have scratches on my films .
i've got different core but no one fit the efke .
I could try to make one if someone could give me the good diameter .

If you use this films, how do you do ?

i havent done much efke rolls, but for those i've done... i havent got any scratches...

Yes, they have no core but worry not about scratches I have run several in a Lloyd bulk loader without problems.
Also the numbers sometimes come backwards

I can second (or third) previous posters - no scratches on Efke bulk rolls, despite the lack of center core.

BTW, the films sold in Croatia are branded "Efke". They are rebranded under various other names for other wholesale buyers - I even saw Efke films rebranded and repackaged as "Gekko MW 100", distributed by Mitsubishi

If you put a large enough order, you could probably have them produce any Efke film rebranded as "Alicouscous", and in your own packaging

Manufacturers stopped using cores for bulk rolls some years ago. I have never noticed any problems. In fact it is their omission which makes it easier to get the roll onto the loader spindle.

I buy 400 ft rolls of motion picture film and they must be respooled as they are too large to fit in bulk loaders. The cores used for some cash register tapes are almost the same width, maybe 1/16 inch wider. I find them convenient to use. Next time you are in a store or restaurant and they are about to replace the tape ask for the the old core. I have made a winding device which allows me to transfer film from the large spool to several smaller ones.
