Efke/ADOX? What's the Diff?

In the U.S., Freestyle is selling Efke films. JandC are selling ADOX films.
They both seem to be made by Fotokemika in Croatia. Are they identical films made in the same factory? Do the AODX films receive more quality control as stated by JandC? Freestyle is a bit cheaper, but I've had great service from JandC and they're closer for shipping. Experienced users please. Conjecture or opinions about vendors is not really what I'm asking for, as I've had good service from both.

JandC says ADOX films get special treatment. From their website:
"Starting in July of 2006 all of our ADOX films receive additional quality inspection after being delivered from the factory. Each batch of film is tested to make sure that the right film is packaged in the right box, that the films are properly cut and packaged, that the film is not streaked and that the speed and density of the film is within specification. In addition, for the life of the film we will keep testing each batch to be sure that the film is maintaining it's speed and density and will provide our customers with this updated data so they can adjust exposure and development accordingly."

To me, that says they're the same film - different box. Inspection and testing does not change the product.

It's the same. They just bought the old name back from a Canadian company, and so ADOX film is now branded as ADOX film again. It has alway been ADOX, no matter what name they printed on the box.

ADOX / EFKE

EFKE have never re-badged other manufaucters film and sold it as EFKE film. On the other hand they used to sell EFKE films under the ADOX brand name. They bought the coating plant etc from Dupont and licensed the film technology & brand name from them. They ceased using the Adox brand name quite a few years ago.

The current Adox Brand name belongs to Fotoimpex in Berlin, and J&C in the US, who happen to sell EFKE film under the Adox brand name again, but they - Fotoimpex (& J&C) - also re-badge other products from Ilford and Forte, and others as Adox - film & paper also chemistry and some equipment.

So not all film now branded as Adox is the old Adox/EFKE type emulsions.

EFKE was the original ADOX emulsion, that is what I was told by some old ADOX fans. In the 50s and 60s, here in Germany it had been at least as popular as AGFA.

Forgot that, quote from the www.adox.net :
