Hi All,

I was just given two boxes of 8x10 Efke 100. I searched the site as well as the MDC, but couldn't quite get the answer I was looking for.

I am trying to process this for use in Kallitype printing, so I need a range of about 1.8 or so.

Does anybody have a good starting point for developing times with this film? I will be exposing at ei50.

Thanks!

gary,

do a 'grey card' test with a few sheets if you can. Must be real friends with someone to get 2 boxes of 8x10 efke 100 . Wish my friends were that generous :D!

also, how are you developing? Trays, deep tanks(hangers), jobo(rotary)? Also, what dilution will you be using?

I have some Efke 100, 4x5 and Pyrocat-HD havent tried it together yet(havent shot any Efke yet) I have run a roll of 120 Efke 100 in it, looks very good, prints very easy with #2.5(my normal for my enlarger)filter except on Varykon paper (really contrasty paper)I drop one full grade of contrast.

Great combination. Try developing by inspection, with a first look at around 6 minutes.

Continuos agitation (Jobo) 20C 2+2+100 13 minutes will get you close. 1+1+100 will give you to long process time and higher base stain.
Try it on a couple of sheets first.

Thanks all for the help. I will give it a try this weekend.

Jan,

Thanks I will be processing it in a jobo 3005 tank, that gets me pretty close to my target.

Best!
