if you cannot get to see it, our book, Edward Weston: Life Work, except for two of the reproductions, is as close as you will ever get to seeing the originals.
Michael A. Smith
Michael - I saw the exhibition and lingered over the gallery copy of the book on display. It was one of the best - if not THE best - printed photo books I have ever laid eyes on. I plan on buying it at some point, hopefully soon.
I've always been a casual fan of EW, Pepper #30, his nudes, etc., but the exhibition opened my eyes to how great a photographer he really was. Interesting to me (obvious to others, I suppose) was how diverse his work was. So many artists, today and back then, are known as experts in one type of work, but he was a master at many - portrait, figure, landscape, stilllife.
