Ectachrome EPP100 at 400 by mistake

Having shot a roll of asa 400 slide film I discovered to my horror that what I'd put in the camera was in fact a roll of EPP100 (teach me to label home loads in future!)

How salvageable is it likely to be, i.e can you push process it 2 stops and still get reasonable results

It will be on the grainy/contrasty side, but it might not be too bad. Most E-6 films can handle a two stop push. Since you've already exposed the film, go ahead and have it processed at +2 and see how it looks.

Finally got round to getting it processed and got it back today.

Very pleasantly surprised, nowhere as grainy as I had expected (better than some ASA400 slide films I've used in the past and way better than Superia 400 negative film). Contrast wasn't to bad either with plenty of detail in the shadows.

Actually it came out much better overall than the Superia 400 I had in the camera to start with - I might just try a couple more rolls at +2 & +1 to see if it is consistant or was just simple luck.
