There's been a lot on here about how ECN-2 film should not be developed in C41 chemistry. I generally mix my own variant of ECN-2 developer using the correct CD3 developing agent. I know CD4 should not be used.

The only place I am aware of that sells CD3 in small quantities is Artcraft, and CD3 is considerably more expensive than CD4. So my questions:

Anyone know anywhere else to get CD3 in small quantities?

Can CD2 be used in place of CD3? (Artcraft sells it for the same price as CD4).

Thanks!

I think I answered my own question. CD-2 is the wrong agent and should not be used for ECN-2. As a matter of fact I misinterpreted Artcraft's pricing anyway - CD-3 isn't much more expensive than CD-2 or CD-3.

And I suppose I can reuse used ECN-2 developer by adding triethanolamine and using it for RA-4 which could be economical.
