ebony sw23 (i know its only kind of large format) w/ rb67 back

i am buying an ebony sw23 and was wondering about their claim that mamiya rb67 backs work with this camera. I did not know that those backs were 2x3 international standard, thats pretty cool cause those backs seem to be well built and are cheap! I was wondering if anyone has done this and which back i should use, rb67, rb67pro, etc. Some research shows that the newer ones have some form of double exposure lock whicj i would not want since that must interface with the camera somehow. Do I want the regular rb67 back
? does anybody know? am i an idiot? should i just spend more to get the horseman back? I have not used one, all i know is that the mamiya ones ive used on actual RB's seem pretty good. I was also considering building a new back to fit linhof backs, I guess they are supposed to be the best but are they really much better? I mean as long as they hold the film flat and advance well. what else do you need?

Well, do you want to shoot nominal 6x7 or nominal 6x9?

I once had a Galvin and used it with a newer RB67 back, the one with double-exposure interlock. It required that I take off the holder's plastic front plate (the part with locking rib) by removing approximately 8 small screws using a phillips-head jeweler's screwdriver, then use a straight-head jeweler's screwdriver to remove a small interlock pivoting lever and spring, finally replacing the front plate + retaining screws. It took longer to type this than to accomplish the modification. Save the lever and spring so they can be replaced if you ever need to use the holder with an RB67 or sell it to someone who wants to.

Bottom line: get whichever back is most available to you. Either one will work.

thanks for the information on the back modification. Also i know that if i want 6x9 a mamiya back would not do it.
