For sale is an Ebony RW45Ti camera. Ebony cameras are among the finest ever made but, sadly, the Japanese craftsman stopped production several years ago. The camera is made of Honduran mahogany and solid titanium components. It is a field camera measuring about 7 1/2” x 8 1/4” x 4” when folded and weighs only 4 lbs, 3 oz. The bellows is universal, so no need for a bag bellows on short lenses. The camera a 60mm minimum draw and a 340mm maximum draw, (410mm with tilts).
There are generous movements. The front and rear tilt in both base and axis. The front standard offers front and rear swing, rise and fall. The back features graflok for using roll film holders and other accessories. It uses readily available Linhof Technika-type lensboards. The back is interchangeable between horizontal and vertical. The ground glass protector and the original box are included. The camera is in very good functional and cosmetic condition. The bellows is light tight.
I have owned this camera for 20 years, originally purchased from Badger Graphics. It has been stored for nearly 15 years, as I moved to the 5x7 format. The Ebony RW45 is truly a piece of functional art and I hate to sell it, but it deserves to be making images.
Asking $2,750, plus actual cost of insured shipping. Prefer North America transaction. I am located in Northern California near Sacramento.
