I once asked on this forum if it was unfair for sellers to sell "untested" cameras in the film camera section (which states cameras have to be working or listed as parts/repair) vs the vintage camera section and if it was ethical for me to return said "untested" camera as not working. All hell broke loose, and suddenly I was was a person kicking puppies while cooking small children in a stew pot.

So long as the price is low enough it can be worth taking a punt with these cameras. I got an Olympus IS100 for £1 plus postage. 28 to 110 zoom fully auto. Basically a fixed lens SLR, and all the auto, focus, exposure wind etc. work. For the Praktica I might think of a punt if only to find what the two screws do!!!!
