Gregg Brekke submitted a new resource:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists) - Easy Mix F-24

This is a non-hardening fixer. I picked up the formula from a friend but see that it has also been published by Gordon Hutchings in the "Book of Pyro."

I use it straight - no dilution. 4-5 minutes for film, 5 minutes for fiber paper (or 2x5min if you use a double bath.)

3 quarts - hot water
4 cups - Sodium Thiosulfate (Hypo)
1 Tablespoon - Sodium Sulfite
1/3 cup - Sodium Bisulfite

Mix and add water to make 1 gallon.

Notes:
1) Hutchings says a "heaping tablespoon" of sodium...

can you substitute sodium metabisulfite for the sodium bisulphite or are these the same thing?

I have a bunch of sodium metabisulphite, what would the amount be?

Thanks
