While (still) trying to figure out whether the diffusing disc goes on the camera or the enlarger, I found the Kodak PDF below called Enlarging for the Professional. It says, well, it says a lot of things, but mainly it has a wonderful illustration of a huge enlarger they call a Projection Printer.

There's lots and lots of information here, enough to re sink the Titanic. Somewhere in it there may be a word or two regarding diffusion discs, but at 71, I would probably be dead and buried before I could finish reading it. The takeaway is that Kodak seemed as confused as us about a few things themselves, including their own terminology.

At least they eventually learned the difference between Polaroid film and their Instant Print Film :>{
