I was looking thru the online price guide for some film and found the B&W reversal chemicals listed on page 26. I was wondering if anyone has used them? this is in the current motion picture division price list so I assume that these are the chems some in Hollywood use to develop the film. There is nothing listed for re-exposure and im not sure if the reversal redeveloped is a chemical fogging agent ( I dont think so). At those prices i would use them one shot rather then replenish, unless they are designed to be used as replenished. are they designed also for a specific film or could they be used for any B&W emulsion?

KODAK B&W Reversal First Developer Replenisher / 5 gal HDPE plastic pail / To make 15 gal $113.79

KODAK Reversal Redeveloper and Replenisher / 5 gal HDPE plastic pail / To make 15 gal $115.40

KODAK Reversal Clearing Bath and Replenisher / 5 gal HDPE plastic pail / To make 15 gal $91.09

KODAK B&W Reversal Bleach and Replenisher / Parts A and B / Case of 2 bottles Part A and 2 bottles Part B $114.69

KODAK B&W Reversal Bleach and Replenisher / Part C / Case of 4 bottles $116.10

I wonder what the bleach is based on. These chemicals are not available to Europe - perhaps not due to logistics, as only these whales are excluded.

Whaling hasn't been a very accepted practice in Europe for a long time now.

In all seriousness though, it may have something to do with a lack of demand combined with costly shipping (it's permanganate after all).

Potassium permanganate is a potent oxidizer. Could be tricky with shipping, especially air. Beautiful color!
