There have been enterprises on this matter long before. Though the products never reached the market.
And those had no press releases on April 1st.
The idea is interesting but completely impractical, even for the other 364 days of the year. All my 35mm cameras either advance the film between exposures or require me to do so. To make a device like this work, you would have to find a way that the film universally appears to advance to all/most cameras without actually advancing.
I can imagine the difficulty loading this sensor into a Barnack Leica.
Oh that thing is not worth mentioning. It big, fat and worse than Kodak implement on Nikon and Canon SLR.In the last couple of weeks B & H had a whole bunch of listings for a system with a 16 Mp sensor and a number of different adapters for different 35mm SLRs. I learned about it from one of the web ads that show up here on Photrio.
I should have marked them, because I cannot find them now!
You know better than any of us I guess. So what kind of price if someone is to make it?However, it is possible! I have heard the same thing, and having held a lot of sensors and circuitry in my hands, I know it would fit.

FunKiller!'I was given the prototype to beta-test. It works flawlessly. It is ingenious.'
Really?!?!?!?...
In case others haven't noticed today's date... nope, I shouldn't have to tell you...
