For Sale Eastman Kodak 2D 8x10

Hello everyone,
I have a Eastman Kodak 2D 8x10 without an extension bed. I'd like $300 obo plus shipping costs from northern California. Full 3% donated to APUG!

Pros:
Bellows is great - no pinholes or other leaks.
Everything is solid, the front and rear elements slide nicely.
The 8x10 back is in great shape.

Cons:
Ground glass is chipped in two corners, but it's still nice, bright and uncracked.
Knurled knob for the sliding rear element is missing. This does not affect performance, as the other side loosens and locks down fine.
Leather carrying strap is missing.

I send stuff to Australia from the midwest all the time and I can't see how a 2D would be $431 unless you sent it global express in a giant box. For way less than $431, you could probably get my daughter to take it back in her suitcase next month.

A 20 lb 18x16x12 package sent express mail is only $140 or so, or priority for $125 or so. You have to watch the box size to avoid global express rates, but a 2D should fit into an acceptable box for int'l express or priority. My local Walmart sells boxes that work.

Thanks for the info, richard. It was probably due to the box size - my bad. It's packed real well.
It's probably an easier policy to just ship CONUS, anyway.
