Hi Rob

It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it on Friday, which is a shame since the weather is finally improving. My wife has to do a trade show at Pensthorpe which means I get lumbered with all the shopping

We ought to keep on trying though: there are four of us (at least) here in Norfolk so it would be good to get together if only to compare notes.

Hi Richard
I can't make this Friday either and it looks as though I won't get a free weekday before the end of April - I'm using all my spare days for the APUG meet in Yorkshire on the 21st. When I get my may free dates sorted out i'll post them here. Holkham is a great place, with pine trees and sand dunes and a row of amazing beach huts towards Wells

Keep trying!

Rob

Did anything ever happen with this?

Tom.

no - but I am thinking of reviving for something similar ... whenI get some time that is

A suggestion: If this type of event were to go ahead, it might be a good idea to do a South East and a separate East Anglia group depending on interest levels so as to keep driving, train, or cycling times reasonable for a one day "event".

you read my mind Tom

Hi, Having been told to check out APUG yesterday and subcribed today.. I would be interested in joining an East Anglia Group. I am based in Bedfordshire, so would that make me piggy in the middle so to speak?

Is anyone else in the middle? I suppose London qualifies but is that it?

Yes, I'm in the exact middle. Middle England to be exact. The East Midland Monochrome Group meets twice a month on Wednesday evenings, the next meet is the 7th February when we should be looking at members prints. The venue details are on our website, and visitors are most welcome.
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I must also add my welcome to the forum Mark. If you need any more information about the EMMG either PM or email me, or of course the contact on the EMMG web page.

Thanks all for replying...

God willing and she who must be obeyed agreeing - one will be present at the meeting in Earls Barton. It's not that far from me so I should be able to make it. Thank you.

I think it may be the same group a friend mentioned earlier. But the grey matter didn't connect it...

Thanks you lot, it looks like I might start enjoying 'my mono' kick even more now.

Try as I might, my other half has been resolute in not attending so far. She is not a great fan of mono - although colour work occasionally gets commented on. I have also been trying to convince her to come to Ross - but am not wining that battle either.

Have you tried thumbscrews? Bribery; but only as a last resort?

Hi There, I'd be interested in an East Anglian group if any meetings happened to coincide with trips back home to Suffolk. Fingers crossed you can keep them up. Starved of analog over here.

Mel

I'd be interested in meeting people in London/Suffolk/S.E. Realistically Suffolk would be possible but more difficult as I'm usually busy with other commitments when I'm there - but I like the idea as am doing more and more photography around the area I grew up (btwn Orwell and Deben rivers in Suffolk)...

Long distance trips are harder to fit in... (anyway it seems to be all boys :surprised:  )

btw ARE there any girls out there ??

South East Mono Group?

I'd definitely like to get something going for the south east - perhaps covering sussex, london, kent and essex - I've been meaning to start something up for a while, but life always seems to get in the way. I've discussed it with Dave Miller and hoped it could be something along the lines of the East Midlands Mono Group that he is involved in - maybe a South East Mono Group (SEMG!) possibly with a focus on trad silver and alt process work only and avoid the digi stuff otherwise we'd get swamped.

So what's holding you back?
