Samy's dropped all E-6 and B&W when they had to relocate to a new facility in Santa Barbara as their 10 year lease was up and they could not renew it. They moved to new locale May 1 this year.
Since then I've used Datachrome in Santa Ana with excellent results for E-6 in both 120 & 4x5. They're extremely quick on turnaround time.

However, B&W I'll need to send to A-I who no longer does E-6 either.
fyi, Samy's in SB: They decided not to risk moving the Refrema to the new store (on 530 State Street) and sold the machine (to someone who wanted it for spare parts.) It's not that there wasn't a big enough demand for E-6 (there was), but just that the machine itself was getting old and moving it isn't that easy (there was a fear of damaging it, etc..) Also Samy Kamienowicz was never really very big on doing processing anyway. There was an attempt (long before digital) to get him to establish a film processing 'empire' but apparently he felt more comfortable to stick with the hard goods.
Anyway, as it stands now the plan is to do B+W out of Fairfax or Santa Ana (I can't remember exactly which location), C-41 (roll film only) is still in SB, and E-6 and sheet film will go to The Icon (on Wilshire in LA) via courier (The Icon is very good, btw.) And all Samy's stores will have courier service for customers.
btw, they are still in the midst of moving things and not quite fully open yet.
