Yield of working solutions
Hi all and thanks for an interesting thread.
I also would like to attempt my first C41 development soon.
I'd like to ask the experienced about the yield of the working solutions.
I have the Colortec 41 set for one litre.
The processing instructions say that: "Maximum yield [i.e. 16 low speed CN films] is achieved only by putting through at least 4 CN-films/6 APS films at a time in at least 1,0 litre."
Why should the films be developed 4 at a time? Isn't developing 4 films at a time the same as developing 4 films one after another in the same volume of working solutions?
Part preparation is possible with the set.
So if I make 1/2 litre of working solutions, will I be able to develop 8 films processing 2 films at a time (prolonging the dev time correspondingly)?
Thanks for any good tips on how to proceed.
