Hey folks,

I've got a Durst Varipoint (point source lamp) for the 138S, but no bulb. Checking out the usual suspects has yielded nothing. Does anyone out there know what would be the correct - or at least, suitable - bulb for the Varipoint?

I've got the 2 1/2" adapter socket from standard Edison base to a dual pin bayonet. Varipoint output is 20V.

Thanks for any help!

I would check with Durst Pro USA in Hillsboro, Oregon for a suitable bulb. I do know that for my 138 S that when my opal bulbs burn out that I will need to convert to the 1200 watt 84 volt conversion that they offer since the opal bulbs are no longer manufactured. I hope that you don't encounter the same situation.

"PULAM"

Edison base, 12V (unfortunately), available from Neuhard Associates or Jobo, approximate cost $110 (unfortunately).

Well that is a sobering thought...Of course that is better then the almost $900.00 that Durst Pro charges for their conversion. If you can give me a wattage for your lamp or even a lamp designation, I will check my Phillips Lighting catalog...perhaps they have a cross ref.
