Evenning all,

I'm looking at a Durst Neonon 105mm lens for my 45MX...a friend wants to sell me....I'm printing 6x9. I've not been able to track down
the OEM for these "Durst" lenses...Was it Schneider?

Anyone have one of these that they can give an honest opinion on...sharpness, contrast etc...he wants $100 for it. Nice cond, no haze etc.

Best,
J

I have a Durst Neonon 50mm and I understand they were made by Pentax. Perhaps someone can confirm that fact.

I believe it is a six element lens. Should be a good lens.
This is the datasheet if it is missing from the lens in question.

I had a 50/2.8 with 'Made by Schneider' or something similar written on it. Goods lens. I sold it with the Durst enlarger it came with. No idea why, can't remember what lens I had at the time I thought was as good/better. As for is it worth $100, see if you can buy a comparable (6 element) 105mm lens... no idea on that either

My 50mm Neonon is one of my most outstanding lenses--creamy golden brilliance. Made in japan (by Pentax, I believe).

All Durst enlarging lenses are excellent.I owned a few and they all performed as well or better than Nikon,Schneider or Rodenstock;highly recommended!

Thanks for the feedback on the lens everyone...sounds like it will work just fine...I'd love
a Componon-S, but it's not likely I'll find one in the same price range.
